Parfico, started in 1974, producing essential oils for the fragrance industry. The company embarked upon a period of rapid growth following licensing agreements with some of the major International perfume & cosmetics manufacturers. The agreement enabled Parfico to manufacture perfumes and a variety of beauty products. The licensing agreement also enabled Parfico to establish a vast distribution network in Egypt and Eastern Europe. Because of this successful cooperation, Parfico today trades and manufacture in a wide variety of commodities in a broad international setting.

Parfico’s track record of success has not come by chance. Highly professional marketing and technical teams work closely to identify new regions and market opportunities. Hence, Parfico is highly flexible and is constantly adapting itself to the new needs and desires of its vast customer base. Flexibility in the face of a constantly changing business climate, and a commitment to the highest standards of quality control have ensured its continued growth.

Parfico is in an excellent position to penetrate emerging markets. The Company has strong ties and a network of contacts in the former Soviet Union and other Eastern European countries. Likewise, it has a substantial network among African and Arab nations like Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, South Africa, Saudi Arabia & Qatar. Parfico is thus ideally situated to take advantage of these new markets.

Parfico has recently decided to take advantage of the booming economic situation in Egypt by re-entering the local market whereby, in only a short period of time, it was able to re- establish a strong distribution network and major market presence in many consumer product categories.

Together with the previous activities Parfico is also active in the import & export fields in Egypt. This successful business stems from its wide commercial experience, its efficient and experienced staff as well as its reputation as a highly committed business partner.

During the Iraqi sanction the UN implemented the oil for food program on which IGI group participated in the several phases. The business moved rapidly in good progress among the phases in different applications such as food commodities, Construction materials, vehicles, heavy equipment, paper, chemical supply …. etc. During this time other companies from IGI group such as Income, Ginza & IBSF were also involved in the bidding process with Iraq.
